Hydraulic & Pneumatic Repair

Hydraulic & Pneumatic Repair

Reliable Hydraulic and Pneumatic Repairs..

Our specialist hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder repair service offers a full strip down and report on the condition of the cylinder and what would be required for it to be repaired in order for the cylinder to operate to its maximum capability. This includes a full re-seal, component repair, new components or modifications to the cylinder.

Once the cylinder has been repaired to the highest standards we will carry out a complementary Hydrostatic proof test, up to a maximum of 700 BAR/10,150PSI dependent on the specification of the cylinder to prove the cylinder will operate as intended and withstand pressure.

When the test has been completed we offer to add rust inhibitor if the cylinder is going to be in storage for prolonged periods of time, also a test certificate if required with all the relevant test information stated in digital or paper format whilst providing 6 month warranty. After the test has been completed we offer the chance for the cylinder to get shot blasted and painted for a high quality finish in whatever colour you require.

This service also covers the repair of the following using the same procedures;

• Accumulators

• Bladder Accumulators

• Rotary actuators

• Liquid bottles

• Telescopic cylinder

• Displacement cylinder

Hydraulic and pneumatic hose repair are also covered in this service which includes the diagnosis and report of the problem and replacement of any hose that needs repairing with custom to set lengths and whatever fitting is required to terminate the hose.

What fluid do we use?

We repair and test most typical cylinders on mineral oil that has been specially formulated to provide good anti-wear and thermal stability performance using the very latest additive technology. The careful blend of additives with a high quality base stock ensures that the mineral oil has excellent hydrolytic and oxidative stability while exhibiting a minimal tendency to produce sludge and deposits. In addition the mineral oil provides corrosion protection towards ferrous and yellow metal components found in Hydraulic systems.

Advantages

• Good thermal and oxidative stability leads to longer operating life, reduction in lubricant costs and minimises deposit formation giving a cleaner system.

• Excellent anti-wear performance gives wear protection and reduces downtime from unscheduled maintenance.

• Good filterability characteristics (including in the presence of water) enables cost savings to be made from increased filter life and reduced maintenance.

• Excellent water separation and hydrolytic stability means reduced down time through prolonged lubricant life and increased equipment reliability.

We do offer repair of cylinders that operate on alternative fluids such as glycols.

We are BFPA (British Fluid Power Association) trained and have extensive years of experience in the sector from assembly to testing in accordance with high 3rd party standards.
